A Few New XNA Tutorials
March 29, 2008
A couple new XNA tutorials you might want to check out popped up on my radar recently.
Random Chaos on Particle Systems
First up, RandomChaos has a series on particle systems that looks interesting. The series covers 2D and 3D systems and includes a grip of code to get you started.

I’d been planning on doing one of these, but RandomChaos has saved me the trouble.
Kerrson on Tile Maps
Kerrson has a tutorial up on building tilemaps.
This looks particularly interesting for anyone interested in building tiled RPGs or even old-school RTS style games (which, judging from the email I get, is a lot of you!)
Tile-based games, incidentally, are a good way to get started building game tools, which is something you should be fairly comfortable with before starting any large-scale project. If you don’t know how to build the tools you’ll need to help reduce your workload, you’re in for a world of hurt when your project’s complexity starts to explode.

Thanks for posting about my particle tutorials, they are a little rushed, but I think there are some useful bits in them.
Hope your subscribers find them handy.
